I'm gonna try and put fun admintool stuff in here, so other people can know about it and make use of it.

Cursed Mime Mask

This isn't anything too fancy, but it was my first attempt at admeme shenanigans

  • Spawn a muzzle
  • VV search "icon_state"
  • Edit the icon_state to: "mime", "sexymime", sadmime", or "scaredmime"
  • VV dropdown, add trait "nodrop"
  • Edit the name to "Cursed Mime Mask"
  • Search "desc" and edit it to something like "Probably shouldn't pick this up or wear it."
  • Find somewhere cozy in maint and VV dropdown GET it there, or send it to the station however else you'd like

Unlike a real mime mask, they can't use it with internals or eat with it. It's pretty cursed, the nodrop guarantees they won't be able to take it off, also because it's a muzzle their vow of silence is unbreakable. Look forward to assistants getting their arms amputated so they drop it, and afflicted wearers getting fed via injection or gaseous nutriment (hydroponics, smoking, vaping)

Icon replacement is a ton of fun, as is nodrop. There are a ton of ways to use it beyond this one.

Addiction to any reagent

Thanks to Timberpoes for the big help making this possible

You can VV addictions to any reagent, there won't be any withdrawal effects aside from the moodlets and prompts (I could really go for some X right now)

Here's how to do it:

  • Spawn a beaker and add the reagent to it (VV dropdown -> Add reagent)
  • VV the beaker, search "reagent" open that VV
  • Find the reagent you spawned, open that VV
  • Go to the dropdown and Mark Object

You have selected the reagent they will be addicted to.

  • Open their VV
  • Search "reagent" and open that VV
  • find "addiction_list"
    • if addiction_list is null, click (E) and select New List
  • Click the "/list" to open its VV
  • VV dropdown "Add Item"
  • Scroll to the bottom of Variable Type and select "Marked Datum" it should also say "CURRENT: /datum/theoneyoumarked/etcetera"

If found that with newly spawned lists you might want to add it twice and then delete the first one (but that might not be right and it might change soon, I'll keep this updated.)

And there you go! They are now addicted to space cola, water, welding fluid, whatever.

The Good Music

Frequently we lose access to youtube and sometimes soundcloud and others just don't have enough good gamer music. Here's the guide to a collection that has served me well.

OverClocked REmix is a community of musicians that have been making free video game arrangements for ages.

  • Click the above link
  • Use the search bar in the upper right to find the game you want (you can also do keyword searches if you want to try for a theme in a title)
    • I'm going to search "Robocop"
  • In the search results you can click "game" to filter just by game (there's also filters for song title, etc.)
  • Click the game, or the track to be taken to their page
    • You might run into an issue where there are several arrangements for one track, click the entry rather than the title to be taken to that arrangement's page
  • When you're on the page for the track it should look like this
  • Hit "Download"
  • Right click "Download from ocrmirror.org" and copy link address
  • Paste the copied link into the Play Internet Sound prompt
