Discord Verification

In order to reduce spam without requiring everybody have a verified phone number on their discord account, you must validate yourself as a /tg/station player before you can enter our discord.

In game method

The most simplest way is to use the `verify discord account` verb in the ooc tab on any of the /tg/ game servers.

In order to use this, you'll need to first link your discord account in game using the link discord account verb (if you have already done this don't worry, you won't need to again, even if you used a different /tg/ game server to link.). This requires you know your discord userid, and then verify your byond username from within discord.

1. Connect to one of our game servers and focus the ooc tab
2. Click the link discord account button
3. Get your How_to_find_your_Discord_User_ID Discord UserID and copy/paste it into the box
4. Go on discord and menton the server bot for the server you are currently on with the command "verify" and your byond username (step 3 should have shown you an example of this command).
   • If you don't know what server bot is the bot for your server, go ahead and just use "!tgs" in place of the bot mention to send the command to all of them.
5. Go back to the game server and click on the verify discord account button.
6. If everything worked correctly you'll now be able to see all of our channels.

Whats my discord user ID?

You can get your discord user ID with one of a few ways. How_to_find_your_Discord_User_ID

• Using the myuserid bot command in discord (example: @Mrs_Sybil myuserid)
• Enabling dev mode and using the new context menu option (see here for a guide on how to do that)

Is there another way?

Not yet, but we are working on providing a way for those with byond linked forum accounts to auto verify without having to go in game.
