Guide to Toxins
Toxins is the part of science that governs bombs, hot plasma, and setting the toxins lab on fire. Ideally, the bombs made here would be used for mining, or detonated to generate research points. In practice, though, these bombs more often than not end up in the hands of traitors or as party favors on the shuttle.
Safety First
Before we begin, you may want to take a few precautions to avoid a death of any kind.
- Take a look at a canister. You see the button that says closed? That's the valve. If there isn't a plasma_tank inside the canister, opening it will release gas from the canister. It's a mere annoyance with oxygen, but if you're working with hot plasma, it will permanently put an end to your research. Every time you eject a tank from a canister, make sure the valve is CLOSED.
- If you aren't an antagonist of any kind, don't blow up the station. Seriously. You'll get banned.
- Turn your suit sensors on. People don't usually visit toxins, so every little bit helps if you want your body to get found.
- As someone who works in the lab with the oxygen, you have the unique privilege of being able to constantly refill your oxygen and get new tanks. If you aren't confident about your ability to avoid plasma leaks, put your internals on.
- And if you do have a plasma leak, take care of it. The RPD makes sparks, and beyond that, people just tend to forget they're surrounded by flammable gas. A lab full of plasma is absolutely a ticking time bomb.
