= Ice Wastes = These megafauna are found in the wastes below, and can be encountered by miners on [[IceboxStation]]. There's an ash drake chilling in a ruin that you can hunt down and kill, if you want the loot. At 50% / 1250 health, it enrages, meaning that its stomp range increases, it moves around faster, and the interval between attacks decreases. This attack is indicated by smoke turfs surrounding the Wendigo, so you have plenty of advanced warning. *'''Teleport:''' The Wendigo teleports to a location 4 tiles away from its target. *'''Shockwave Scream:''' The Wendigo starts shaking and screaming, dizzying anybody within earshot (wear earmuffs!), before firing out a bunch of death bolts that deal 25 damage and fully penetrate armor. There are three patterns, and in no particular order, they are firing out death bolts in a 360 degree spread, firing out a series of alternating shotgun spreads, and firing out death bolts in a rotating star. The Wendigo, unlike the Colossus, is stationary throughout this procedure. Once the Wendigo enrages, the death bolts become faster and more tightly wound together. ===Loot=== When the Wendigo corpse is butchered, it releases a bottle of [[File:Wiz vial.gif]] Wendigo blood. When that bottle is drunk, its consumer gains the ability to transform into a polar bear at will. This ruin will always be on the topmost layer of the ice wastes, there's no way to get into the arena (asides from jaunting in) from the bottom level. Then, you have to climb down a ladder to get up into the actual arena. Trying to climb out of the arena takes a significant amount of time, and will probably end with you getting blapped, so you really should be prepared to fight him if you climb down the ladder. Or you could teleport out, that's fine too. ===Behavior=== Once inside, you'll probably immediately aggro the Demonic Frost Miner, it has a very large aggro range of 18 tiles. The ice down there is ''extremely'' slippery so make sure to bring Ice hiking boots from your points vendor. There are ice crystals scattered around that will temporarily ensnare you if you walk on top of them. Asides from that, it's very similar to that of a Blood-Drunk Miner, chasing you around, and pelting you with spells. If its target is in melee range, then it will rapidly attack its target, dealing 10 brute damage with its jackhammer, and hitting its target up to 4 times per tick. As the Demonic Frost Miner's health decreases, the interval between attacks also decreases. At 25% / 375 health, it's almost over... and the Demonic Frost Miner starts spinning around, enraging and transforming into an actual demon, being invulnerable whilst doing so. Oh yeah, it also heals back up to full health. Sucks to be you. After it becomes enraged, the the speed of its projectiles increases by 25%. There are some mechanics regarding its attacks. As it cycles through, it selects either an "easy" or a "hard" attack. Whilst the Demonic Frost Miner is not enraged, there is an 80% chance that it selects an easy attack whenever it procs its attack cycle, and a 20% chance that it selects a hard one. When enraged, however, the chances flip to a 40% chance of an easy attack, and a 60% chance for a hard attack. Oh yeah all of the projectiles completely penetrate armor. In addition, when used to attack something, it knocks its target back like a baseball bat, whilst also siphoning the damage that it has dealt to heal its user. In addition, it drops an [[File:Ice_crystal.png]] Ice Energy Crystal, which is a necessary component for the crafting of Godslayer armor. ===How to Fight=== Ideally the best way to avoid being pelted by projectiles is to put as much distance as possible between you and the Frost Miner. Most of the attacks he uses spread out over distance, creating gaps large enough for you to bob and weave through. Having a PKA kitted out with max range mods lets you maintain this distance while still putting out damage. Asides from all that, bring lots of survival medipens and stabilized legion cores, you'll really need them. ==Godslayer Armor== [[File:Godslayeroff.png|182px]] Upon killing all three of the unique megafauna of the Ice Wastes, you can combine the [[File:Clockwork_alloy.png]] Clockwork Alloy, obtained through killing the Clockwork Defender, the [[File:Wendigo_skull.png]] Wendigo Skull, obtained through killing the Wendigo, and the [[File:Ice_crystal.png]] Ice Energy Crystal, obtained through killing the Demonic Frost Miner, and craft a set of Godslayer armor. It has a 50% reduction in melee damage (potentially add another 10% additional reduction from a security jumpsuit), 50% reduction in explosive damage, 50% reduction in biological damage, 25% reduction in laser damage, 25% reduction in energy (shock) damage, 25% reduction in bullet damage, and completely acid, fire, radiation, and ash-storm proof. Spaceproof! What's really powerful about this armor, given that it doesn't compare particularly favorably to ash drake armor and the H.E.C.K. suit, is that upon its wearer going into crit, it instaheals its wearer back up to full health (do note that it does not resolve wounds nor blood loss, though), with a 10 minute cooldown between saves. In combination with a Resurrection Crystal, it can potentially give you two extra chances of life within a very short period of time.
